Regulation 13 of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 places specific duties on Principal Contractors including:

Plan, manage and monitor the construction phase to minimise risks to health and safety

Organise cooperation between contractors

Ensure that works is governed by the general principles of prevention

Provide a suitable site induction

Ensure the site is secure

Ensure adequate welfare facilities are provided

Liaise with the principal designer as necessary to coordinate on matters of construction health and safety

Chalfont Construction Limited is capable of operating as Principal Contractor as well as Contractor. Our designers are capable of operating as Principal Designer if necessary, although normally our customers retain this role
